Samenvatting

This study is performed to observe the effects of a Rock and Water training on social competence in the child and adolescent psychiatry Karakter Zetten. Karakter and health insurers raised the question for evidence based practice (EBP) programs in the psychomotor therapy.
There are two types of interventions used in this study: the Rock and Water training and the CORS and CSRS questionnaire. The CORS and CSRS questionnaire is chosen because this questionnaire holds survey about the progress of the clients and the experience of the client during the training. Furthermore, the therapist can interrupt the intervention when there are different details than they expected. The Rock and Water training is chosen as an intervention, because of the fact that it is a fixed written training which could be adjusted to the situation if necessary. Because of this fact it is easy to repeat the training.
A self-made questionnaire is used to answer the research question of the study. The questionnaires were filled in by the respondents at the start of their training and again when they finished the training. Every week, the clients filled in the CORS and the CSRS questionnaire as well. The results of the self-made questionnaire show us that the three client who are involved in this study feels better social competent at the end of the training compared to the start of the training. The results CORS and CSRS questionnaire show that the clients in this study feel better at the end of the training compared to the beginning (CORS) and that they feel more positive about the training in the end (CSRS).
