Samenvatting

This article addresses the concept of Private Financing (PF). First, the way in which PF has been successfully applied in the United Kingdom is described. Second, the core of PF is discussed. Third, the method itself is elaborated upon together with the economic principles and hypotheses in an attempt to explain the fundamental elements of the method.
