Samenvatting

Zimbabwe has for a long time been one of Africa's biggest exporters of food. Nowadays, the country has got problems with feeding its own population. The inflation is extremely high and same counts for the unemployment rate. It is clear, that the "Granary of Africa" has dropped to one of Africa's poorest countries. Therefore, the purpose of my thesis is to explain how, a once prosperous country as Zimbabwe could end up in the demolishing crisis it is right now and what is and has been the effect of the International Community on this crisis.
