Samenvatting
In this reserach, standard reference values for the diaphragm thickness in healthy young adults are looked for. These will be put into relation with the age, the gender, the height and the FFMI of these subjects. Furthermore, a connection to COPD-patients is made in respect to using MSU in clinical practice and possibly compare their diaphragm thickness with the ones of healthy people for early stages diapganosis in the future, as well as an increased quality in follow-up sessions.
