Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) iscommonly used for the treatment of anxiety disorders in psychotherapy aswel! as in other healthçare professionssuch as physiotherapy.Virtual reality (VR) seems to be a useful tool to apply for the performanceof exposure during CBT.However, patients' contentment regarding the use of this technology durlng therapy remalns unclear and represents a boundary for its implementation.Patients' acceptance is crucial for patient adherence with the treatment and the outcome of the lntervention.
The current problem is that thereis no overview regardingpatients' acceptance of receiving exposure trough VR duringCBT.Gathering this information is needed to clarify whether patients would seebenefits trom its adoption in practice and to increasethe quality of the healthcareservice.
Therefore, thlssystematic review aims to provide an· answer to the question,'What is currently known about the acceptance of VR treatment in patients with anxiety disorders?'
