The objective of the project is to create an application that addresses the need that Givt aims to fulfil in the US market through gamification as the first phase of the project.
the research phase will involve different implementations of designs based on Contextual/Game Design Canvas [3] outcomes and User Journey Map [4]. The visual design would be created by the UX designer of the company and is implemented and deployed in testing. So that the design can be tested in a real-world scenario by a key stakeholder that would conduct the interviews with the kids. Based on the analysis of the interviews, I could provide feedback and reimplement approaches for the application.
The project 's second phase involves integrating the proof of concept into Givt 's architecture. This process will be guided by industry-standard practices such as DRY, Clean, and SOLID principles, necessitating a new design. Ultimately, there will be three applications: Givt 1.0, Givt 2.0, and Givt4Kids. These new applications must be deployed alongside the original application, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the updated infrastructure and the functioning of the new applications within this environment. This aspect will be thoroughly addressed during the project.
As the research is completed, there will be a proof-of-concept application that will be built that would prove the gamification approach. That would be done only by recreating the application with the proven functionalities that worked the best for the kids and their parents. The application must fit into the new backend that is under development. I would have to collaborate and synchronise with the developers in the backend to implement features that are not yet available for the application. The outcome will be two applications for parents and kids. The parents ' application would have to be adapted for new kids ' applications.
