Social and environmental issues in four Ethiopian cut rose producing companies
Social and environmental issues in four Ethiopian cut rose producing companies
Samenvatting
Flower industries in Ethiopia are characterized by frequent violations of workers’ rights and freedoms as well as environmental protection and handling problems. Despite the problems, little and/no case study research was conducted in the sector. Hence, a case study research was conducted on four rose producing companies in Ethiopia with the objective of providing practical recommendations on the major social and environmental issues of the sector in order to comply EHPEA code of practices and gain competitive advantage in the Netherlands.
