Samenvatting

The aim of this research paper is to provide the municipality of Almere information about the current external and internal food environment around four schools in Almere, and corresponding solutions to address the problems. The insights will help the municipality with its goal to develop a healthier city for its citizens. This will be done by answering ‘What the food environment of and around secondary and vocational schools in Almere look likes, and what are these schools’ policies around healthy, unhealthy, and sustainable practices?’ Two separate s ub-questions will each focus on an aspect of this question, being the external food environment and the internal food policy environment in and around the four chosen schools.
