Samenvatting

The report explores Dutch consumers' perceptions of the Nutri-Score system, focusing on awareness, behavioral changes, and understanding of nutritional quality. While 92% are aware of Nutri-Score, usage during purchases remains low, with only 9.6% citing it as a main factor. Demographic factors, such as age and education, affect awareness, with elderly and less-educated groups knowing less about it. Taste, price, and perceived quality still dominate purchasing decisions. Recommendations include educational campaigns and consistent labelling strategies to enhance understanding and usage.
